In the November of 2007 it was announced that Foo Fighters were going to
play Wembley Stadium in June of the following year. Tickets were to go on
sale on November 23rd. My birthday!
So as 9am approached on that Friday morning, I thought I’d be in with a
damn good chance, as 80,000 + tickets were up for grabs! 9am arrived and
I pressed the search button and waited. And waited. Searching, still
searching! Panicking now as time ticked by and still nothing. Then at
9:11am ‘Nothing found’. They had sold out! Immediately I started looking
on alternative ticket sites where they had plenty of Foo Fighters
tickets… at DOUBLE the price! Tickets with a face value of almost £50
were on sites for £100! This would potentially price me out of seeing
them. I was gutted.
Fortunately I had hit the search button and it found tickets! Unbeknown
to me they had added a second date and I had scored! However, I wasn’t at
